Assistant Professor
Dr. Abe Atte’s research centers on experimental rotorcraft aerodynamics, with particular emphasis on rotor–rotor interactions in multirotor and eVTOL systems. His work investigates aerodynamic interactions, flowfield dynamics, and coupled performance effects through wind tunnel testing, hover experiments, and particle image velocimetry. His research aims to advance the design, optimization, and understanding of next-generation vertical lift vehicles, with applications in urban air mobility, search and rescue, and autonomous flight in confined environments. Abraham earned his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he studied under Prof. Juergen Rauleder. He currently serves as an Engineering Futures Facilitator for Tau Beta Pi and is active within the vertical flight community.
